Merion Village Real Estate Outlook

Merion Village is a community in Columbus Ohio located just south of the downtown area. It’s bordered by German Village and Schumacher Place to the north and Hungarian Village to the south.

Largely residential, Merion Village is also home to a wide variety of shops and restaurants catering to local residents. Most of the homes were built in the early 1900s, and have been renovated numerous times over the years. Pride of ownership and a sense of community is visible throughout the area.

In recent years, Merion Village has become attractive to home buyers for several reasons:

  • It’s proximity to exciting downtown Columbus business and entertainment
  • It offers many of the benefits of its historic and well-known neighbor, German Village, but is a more affordable option for many home buyers
  • It’s located just minutes to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Grant Hospital
  • It offers easy access to major freeways and thoroughfares

Real estate sales in Merion Village have remained strong over the past six months, even stronger by some measures than during the same time period the previous year. (Note: all numbers are expressed as “median” numbers, not “average”.)
