Someone we would have loved to work with. Fast forward 10 years, we needed to sell our home fast because we were being transferred out of state. The day of the closing, the money was wired to our bank account and we were toasting her with a glass of champagne. It was a unique property, both in terms of its quality and its location, and selling it according to our fiscal parameters posed a difficult challenge. I have not encountered a realtor who understands the necessity of effective digital marketing better than Regina does. She created a precisely crafted listing that immediately appeared in *every* major online real estate search engine. Regina Acosta Tobin brought not only the storybook ending to the sale of my home, but also skillful guidance in helping me navigate through the stress of selling a home. How did Regina do this? From the day I contacted Regina to put my house on the market through closing day, Regina was ultra-responsive, she often responded to emails and text messages before I scrolled to the next message in cue. Regina answered phone calls nearly every time I called, which is astounding, given the sheer volume of clients and homes Regina handles in German Village, Italian Village, and the surrounding areas. If Regina missed a call, she returned it typically within the half hour, again, an astounding feat given the sheer volume of clients with whom she’s working. Not only was Regina responsive to me, she was responsive to other agents and buyers, including going out of her way to make sure the house could be shown at unusual hours, etc. In addition to Regina’s responsiveness, she was proactive in using a range of strategies to ensure the effective sale of my home, including meeting with me at my home before it went on the market to provide suggestions on things to consider updating; performing a comprehensive analysis of all comparable homes for sale in the area so that we could gauge the right asking price; connecting me with a skilled, dependable and reasonably priced contractor who performed updates to the house to get it market ready; hosting multiple open houses; ensuring timely automated appointment scheduling and feedback to and from buyers; placing repeated advertisements for my home in the German Village Gazette; securing a spot for my home on the local realtor/agent tour; making helpful suggestions to add to help stage the house (e.g., adding a plant here or there, including bringing her own lamp and poinsettia as we neared the holidays); letting me know when things needed to be done to the house once I moved out of state, such as yard maintenance or replacing light bulbs; and providing sound advice and strategies during the negotiation process with the buyer. Even beyond her responsiveness and proactive strategies for selling my home, on an interpersonal level, Regina was ultra-reassuring. I was under high stress during a career transition and moving out of state, including needing to sell my home quickly. While realtors are not professionally trained to manage the stress of their buyers and sellers, Regina ranks at the top of my list of realtors who provide effective reassurance in times of great stress; she has remarkable interpersonal skills and always put a positive, encouraging spin throughout the entire time we worked together. Hands down, I would hire Regina again to sell another home. And, if I could hire Regina to help me buy a house in the state where I’m living now, I would do so in a heartbeat! She’s terrific.

I needed to sell my house ASAP to get to my dream home in sunny Florida, and as I had already accepted a job, I am talking I needed to get there FAST!

I searched a few sites and nothing really “clicked” for me so I asked around at work. Sure enough another nurse knew about Regina . We had to lower our price but still made a decent profit and got to Florida 2 weeks before I started my new job!

My wife and I first met Regina when we saw an intriguing listing on the web. We had been on a year-long, informal house search, visiting open houses, browsing through offerings on the internet, occasionally calling agents on houses that looked promising, but we had not yet found an agent with whom we wanted to jump into the market. At first I had her show us those houses anyway, but I quickly saw that she was dead-on every time. Regina was very in tune to what we wanted, and she really knows the houses out there. It seems that she has been through most of them at one time or another.

When we finally found “the” house, it was immediately obvious to all three of us, and I think that Regina was as genuinely happy as we were. As she guided us through the transaction, it was clear that she was 100% on our side the whole time. She did not just want to get the transaction done as quickly as possible and pocket the commission but truly wanted to take care of us, her clients.

Finally, Regina’s marketing and her advice on staging our house helped us sell it very quickly, even though it was priced at the same level as similar houses that were on the market before us and stayed on the market after ours sold.

Going into my first house purchase, and being I am an anxious person, I didn’t know what to expect, what was expected of me, etc. Regina made it quite easy and hassle free. By the second or third time Regina & I met, I felt as if I had known here for years and I always felt relaxed during the process with her. I lost count on how many house Regina showed us, but I imagine it was about thirty-some houses she showed us more than once. Not once did Regina make it seem like an inconvience. When we decided on a house, Regina was diligent and detail orientated, making sure all the I’s were dotted and the T’s were crossed.
